Your current save and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily read by the game, which is the point of this test: we want to see how the game runs with no added content. Otherwise, start a new save in Sunset Valley and see how it runs. If you get an error when trying to move the folder, or it copies rather than moving, stop here and let me know. If you still get lag, please move the entire Sims 3 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. Try to play with nothing running other than Sims 3 and the EA App. If you still get lag, please restart again, then go through the Task Manager's background services list shutting down any other Asus software currently running. If you want to reinstall it later, you can find a download link on the downloads page for your laptop, under Software and Utility: Doing so through the Windows Control Panel should be sufficient.
